Landscape scale conservation in the Wilson Inlet catchment

This Caring for Our Country (C4oC) project commenced in Oct 2011 and was completed in June 2013. This project increased connectivity and condition of native riparian and remnant vegetation improving biodiversity assets of the Wilson Inlet catchment. The project focused on the protection of native vegetation in the Waterman's and Sleeman/Hay sub-catchments. This area has been identified as a wildlife corridor between the Porongurup Range and Mt Lindesay - Walpole Wilderness area with a Conservation Action Plan (CAP) process being undertaken by Gondwana Link Inc.On ground activities completed include:
  • 30 kilometres of fencing 
  • 11.5 hectares of revegetation
  • 10 alternate water points 
  • 25 hectares of weed removal
